Winter Football 12-Week Program

OC Athletics Football Development Program

The OC Athletics Football Development Program is a 12-week training experience designed for both flag football and tackle football players who want to build confidence, master fundamentals, and develop position-specific football skills in a structured, high-repetition environment.

Led by experienced football coaches with extensive youth and high school coaching experience, our program is built around proven teaching methods that help athletes develop proper technique, improve performance, and gain a deeper understanding of the game.

Unlike large camps and clinics where athletes spend much of their time standing in lines, our boutique-style training model utilizes intentionally small cohorts to maximize coaching attention, increase repetitions, and accelerate player development.

Athletes will receive instruction and training in all major areas of the game, including:
• Position-specific skill development
• Footwork, balance, and body control
• Passing, catching, and ball security
• Route running and release technique
• Quarterback fundamentals and throwing mechanics
• Running back skills, vision, cuts, and change of direction
• Defensive back movement, coverage technique, and ball skills
• Linebacker movement, pursuit angles, and reaction skills
• Blocking fundamentals, hand placement, and body positioning
• Tackling mechanics and safe form instruction without live contact
• Football rules, concepts, and game situations
• Football IQ and decision-making

Each session is designed to provide meaningful repetitions through drills, competitions, and game-like scenarios that reinforce proper technique, improve confidence, and prepare athletes for success during competition.

In addition to football-specific training, every 60-minute session includes an age-appropriate strength and conditioning component focused on speed, agility, balance, coordination, explosiveness, and athletic development. Athletes will utilize ladders, hurdles, cones, plyometric equipment, and functional training tools to develop a stronger, faster, and more explosive foundation for competition.

All football training at OC Athletics is non-contact. Whether an athlete plays flag football or tackle football, our focus is on developing safer, smarter, more confident football players through proper fundamentals, detailed coaching, and consistent repetition.

Athletes receive periodic progress evaluations and individualized feedback to help track development and identify areas for continued growth.

Whether your athlete is learning the fundamentals or preparing for higher levels of competition, our small-group training environment provides the attention, accountability, and development necessary for long-term success.
